SIGNIFICANCE
This 1860s artisans cottage is of regional historical significance as a rare survivor in an area of predominantly 1940s and 1950s houses, and for its associations with early Newtown artisans including John Good, miner, labourer and gardener, and later with two papermakers and a jeweller. It is of local architectural significance as a survivlng early timber cottage with various intact elements such as ogee spouting and twelvepaned windows.

DESCRIPTION
A hiproofed, symmetrical, timber, double fronted cottage. It has a slate roof with ogee spouting intact and a convex verandah with cast iron lace. The left hand side of the verandah has been infilled and there is a 12 paned double hung window revealed on the right. The fence is recent.
