STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A timber Californian Bungalow built in 1923. It is architecturally significant locally as a particularly intact and characteristic example ofthis domestic style, with the garage ofthe period ofinterest. It is historically significant as a representative embodiment ofcomfortable family life of 1920s Newtown. .

Residence - Physical Description 1
VISUAL DESCRIPTION A doublefronted timber Californian Bungalow with a gable roof-facing. The right bay projects as a minor gable, over the recessed verandah. Upper gables have mock shingles, supported on triple bullnosed brackets the lower, timbered. Windows are tripartite, upper sashes leadlight, with an arched transom to the central fixed pane. The Edwardian door has leadlight upper glazing and sidelight. The garage is contemporary with the house.
