Currabeg House - Physical Description 1
One of four large houses built for Geelong doctors near the turn of the century, it may have been designed by the architects Tomb and Durran. The use of projecting bays, arch headed windows, turned timber columns and intricate strapped chimneys certainly point to the possibility. The red brick and marseilles tiles were typical building materials of the time. The timber fretwork of the entrance porch and the leadlights in many windows is particularly noteworthy.
