C Listed - Local Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCEAn interesting and remarkably intact Californian Bungalow built in 1923. It is locally architecturally significant as a particularly intact Bungalow with some unusual details, such as the piers; materials, such as the gravel surfaced render and clinker bricks; and context elements such as the striking steel gates and fence. It is historically significant as a representative embodiment of life int eh 1920s Newtown.

Residence - Physical Description 1
An interesting and remarkably intact Californian Bungalow, double fronted, in clinker brick and gravel-surfaced render(?). The principal gable is across, but a gable projects at left, with a minor gable across, over the porch at right, in the angle, punctuated by the pylon piers. Rafters are exposed and the roof is clad with cement tiles. There is a soldier course of bricks at the gable punctuated by slot vents. Exposed purlins form brackets. beneath, are two window pairs with continuous flat hoods and clinker courses between. upper sashes are leadlight. The house is clinker brick to dado level. The garage is contemporary with the house. There is a low brick fence and striking Modern milk steel gates with parallel diagonal rails.
