STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A symmetrical Italianate house with characteristic transitional to Edwardian built in c 1902. It has architectural significance as evidence of the transitional phase in design at the turn of the century from late Victorian to Edwardian. It has historical significance in embodying elements of the way of like at the turn of the century, but also a sequence of physical change in its pattern of occupancy over the past 90 years
INTACTNESS : Fair, the fence and a large picture window inserted at right are recent and there are various additions and restorations.

Allanby - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
A double fronted symmetrical timber hip-roofed Italianate house transitional to Edwardian. It has a hip-roofed verandah across with a gabled porch at its centre. Chimneys have deep Classical mouldings and even eaves have ogee bracket pairs.
The verandah has cast-iron lace valence over a rail and brackets, with small zinc Corinthian capitals to the turned timber posts on splayed square bases. The front gable has rippled-iron with Medieval timbers, with a central panel of mock shingles supported by oversized timber Baroque influenced brackets.
