Beehive Building - Physical Conditions
DESCRIPTION
The two storey building is divided into three sections. The lower floor consists of two shops with a staircase which leads to the upper floor. The upper floor was possibly a residence when first designed. The facade of the lower floor has been completely altered however; the upper floor has a good degree of integrity. The prominent features include the banded pilaster strip with their flat capitals, the broad expanse of concrete render on the parapet, culminating in the oval shaped opening with a beehive in relief above it.
