STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A two storey, particularly intact English-style brick house built in 1925. It is architecturally significant as a characteristic house of this style which is relatively rare in Newtown. It is significant historically as a representative embodiment of the way of life in late 1930s Newtown

DESCRIPTION
A two-storey clinker brick, English style, gable-roofed house with a marvellous glazed terracotta tile roof. There is a single-storied section on the corner, next to a double storey section, both gables face, with corbelled eaves. Windows have horizontal glazing bars and shutters. Gables have prismatic brick decoration, There is a gabled porch off-centre, with a Romanesque-arched opening. The low brick fence curved at the corner splay, with a metal palisade and curlicue gate, with a variegated privet hedge over. There is a strong modeled chimney with a brick on-angle band and gabled supporters.
