Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A symmetrical Victorian timber house built in 1876 with Edwardian additions. It is architecturally significant locally as characteristic of both domestic styles and historically significant as evidence of life in Newtown in both periods, as well as in demonstrating a changing sequence of architectural styles, possibly reflecting change in occupancy.

Residence - Physical Description 1
A symmetrical timber double-fronted Victorian timber house with a gable-roofed section at the rear which could be earlier. The concave hipped roof verandah has Edwardian decoration ofa palisade with tulip pairs motif fretwork and latticed panels. The entrance door is four-panelled with a fanlight and surviving knocker.
