Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A characteristic timber Italianate house built in 1891. Interestingly it was owned and occupied entirely by women until at least 1935. It is architecturally significant as representative of this domestic style and historically as embodying life in Newtown in the boom years prior to the economic crash of 1892.
INTACTNESS - Very Good. The fence is recent and anachronistic. The balustrade may be later.
CONDITIONS AND THREATS - Very Good
