Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNFICANCE
An early Victorian style timber cottage, with various Edwardian elements, built as late as 1897. It is architecturally significant locally as representative of the early Victorian domestic manner and historically in embodying life in Newtown in that period and evidence of developing needs into the early twentieth century.

Residence - Physical Description 1
A simple double - fronted timber Early Victorian style cottage with a hipped roof, on a bluestone base. The right bay is set forward as a gable. This has an Edwardian concave skillion window hood on large convex palisade brackets. The convex skillion verandah is in the angle, with Edwardian turned posts, cast iron lace valance and brackets. The entrance has side and fanlights and panelled door.
