STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE:
An unusual early Edwardian semi-detached timber house, building 1903. it is characteristically significance locally for its rarity as a type, particularly in this period, and in timber and that the house remain separate and separately and separated owned. It is historically significant in evoking one tenancy way of life in Newtown early this century.
INTACTNESS: Very Good. The fence is recent.
CONDITIONS & THREATS: Excellent generally, but sub-floor ventilation has been blocked, so the front the front room is damp. Recent paintwork was not properly prepared and is blistering badly in the north sun, already.

Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION:
A double-fronted, timber early Edwardian semi-detached house, with a hipped roof. The left bay is set forward as a gable. The upper gable has mock shingles over a frieze mould. There is skillion window hood in ripple-iron over a window pair, with lattice and deeply coved fretwork brackets. The skillion verandah is in the angle, with a palisade valance, arched over the entrance, with smaller coved fretwork bracket and turned posts.
Chimneys have frieze moulds and unglazed terracotta pots. Eaves have frieze mould, panels and ogee fretwork brackets. There is a red brick dwarf wall sub-floor. The boundary fence is woven-wire with a hedge over.
