STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
This is one of the few two room 1850's dwellings remaining in Geelong Est. it was built for William Madder and has a fair degree of integrity. It is of local significance.
POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS
GRPS
Replacement of window hoods and porch with a more appropriate form of weather control would greatly enhance the character of this house as would more appropriate paving, fence and gates.

DESCRIPTION
12 Eureka Street is basically a single storey timber building with walls clad in weatherboards and the gable roof clad in corrugated iron. It has a chimney on the north gable end. The front elevation has been altered to include window hoods from the Edwardian period and a projecting porch which is clad in fibro-cement sheets.
