STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
The design of 35 Gertrude Street is derived form the American "Prairie Style". This influence is unusual in Geelong West. It is of local significance.

"Kia Ora" - Physical Description 1
It is a large "Prairie Style" bungalow with a traverse gable which extends to form a corner porch and window hoods ont he front elevation. A broad gable projects vertically through and perpendicular to, the first gable. The wide low-pitched gables are an American influence not commonly seen in Geelong West.
