Statement of Significance
NOT SIGNIFICANT BUT INCLUDED IN HERITAGE PRECINCT
38 Gertrude Streetwas originallya complex of buildings, part of which dated from circa 1853. It had a poor degree of integrity and was demolished some years ago. It was replaced with the existing two dwellings in c.2006.

Residence - Physical Description 1
The complex of timber building parts are clad in weatherboards and the hipped and gabled roof of the residence is clad in slate. To the east of the house is an attached building (a former shop) with a hipped roof clad in corrugated iron. There is an interesting outbuilding at the rear. Numerous alterations give the premises a poor degree of integrity.
