Residence - Physical Description 1
These buildings are an identical pair and the design is unique in Geelong West. They are single storey and appear to be built of brick with a corrugated iron roof. The plan form is typical of many small Edwardian houses however,t he detailing is completely different. The front elevation is dominated by a gable-end which has a tri-partite window in the centre and the wall has a combination of roughcast and smooth stucco work. The most unusual feature is the 'Flemish' gable. The verandah is formed by the extension of the hip roof and is supported by concrete columns on a finely stuccoed balustrade. The side walls have a smooth stucco surface with ashlar lines etched meticulously into them.
