Statement of Significance
LOCAL SIGNIFICANCE - INCLUDED IN HERITAGE PRECINCT
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
1 Pizer Street is an unusual form of timber cottage which may have been built in the 1850s. It is of local significance. POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS . G.R.P.S. A more appropriate fence, front door and verandah floor would greatly enhance the character of this building as would the removal of the verandah.

Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION It is very unusual to have the gable ends of a double gabled roof forming the front facade of a small timber cottage. However there is at least one other example in Geelong West at 7 Yuille Street. The front elevation is symmetrical with a door and fanlight above, flanked on either side by a doublehung window. Decorative elements include the joinery above the door and the carved bargeboards. The chimneys and the l , chimney pots are particularly interesting.
