HOBBS ROAD FLOOR REMAINS - History
Between 1851 and his death in 1887, Thomas had bought around 85,000 acres in the Werribee area creating his vast Werribee Park estate (Peel 1974:61). A final large subdivision of The Manor' took place in 1910 and a new allotment number issued for the activity area that became lot 7 on plan of subdivision 5409. In 1911 farmer Arthur Hamblin bought lot 7 from John Percy Chirnside. Hamblin may have already been one of John Percy's tenant farmers. By the 1970s the land was owned by Waltsue Pty Ltd and Kenning Properties Pty Ltd. The property transferred to another company Starula Pty Ltd in 1982 before being sold to Charlie and Carmen Grima from Altona in 1994. There has been little structural development on the property that seems to have been mainly used for agricultural purposes
Specific history unknown.
