Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
118 Maud Street is a substantially intact double fronted timber residence retaining many notable Bungalow details. The facade is symmetrical with two prominent gables flanking a central entrance with verandah porch. The main corrugated iron roof is a large medium piitched hip. Both gables have imitation timber shingles as an infill panel, wide barge boards, decorative vents, and tripartitecasement windows with lead light glazing. The central porsh extends over the windows to provide weather protection and a strongly horizontal element. It features pairs of timber posts on the corner and a curvilinear valance across the front. At the rear of the site is an outbuilding of the sameperiod. The front fence is original horizontal timbers and is appropriate to the Bungalow style of the house and it's garden. The dark brown colour of the house may be of the original colour scheme.
