Residence - Physical Description 1
Description
156 Myers Street is a double storey Early Victorian brick parapet building with a rear gable and skillion, which is substantially intact. The facade consists of typical Victorian window openings on the first floor, however the ground floor has a larger shop front window. The openings have simple projecting sills. The facade has unusual articulation the bay containing the entry is slightly recessed. Because ofthe two entries to Myers Street, the building looks like it may have been designed as a separate shop and residence. The slate hip roof has moulded chimneys with terracotta pots. The building has a stone foundation and is sited to the street line on both frontages. A fence encloses a rear yard. An appropriate use of colour highlights the architectural features on the facade.
