A single Narrow-leaved Peppermint tree located on Mt Big Ben in Yackandandah. The tree is growing along Mt Big Ben Road in a gully.
How is it significant?
This Narrow-leaved Peppermint tree is significant for scientific and social reasons at the State level.
Why is it significant?
This naturally occurring Narrow-leaved Peppermint tree is scientifically significant for its large size. While this specimen is slightly smaller than the Narrow-leaved Peppermint on Condons Rd, it has a better form.
This Narrow-leaved Peppermint is also socially significant for its contribution to the natural indigenous forest landscape.
