STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
The site and ruinous cottage at 291-295 Breamlea Road are historically significant at a LOCAL level. They are associated with and contribute to an understanding of the establishment of a farm from the mid 1850s, and particularly with Elias Harding, orginal purchaser of a vast amount of land in the Connewarre area.Overall, the site and ruinous cottage at 291-295 Breamlea Road are of LOCAL significance.

Ruinous Cottage - Physical Conditions
The single storey, horizontal weatherboard, Victorian vernacular cottage is characterised by a simple gable roof clad in unpainted, lapped galvanised and corrugated iron. An unpainted brick and corbelled chimney adorns the roofline. Some weatherboards are missing on the gable end. The site is bound by a paling fence, approximately 2000mm high.
