Residence (former Post office) - Physical Description 1
Description
The late Victorian residence is a triple fronted , timber frame and weatherboard clad structure weatherboard with one central red brick chimney. It has been recently renovated with new paint colours of yellow cream with darker trim.
The building is made up of a main hipped roof section, with a central projecting gable and a later hipped roof extension to the northwest. The north elevation bullnosed verandah has a separate roof clad in corrugated iron, with decorative turned timber posts, brackets and fretwork. The two double hung timber frame windows and the central timber door on the north elevation appear to be original. The projecting gable has a scrolled finial, plain timber bargeboards, and a central aluminium frame window. The newer extension to the west also has an aluminuim framed window.
