Edina Cottage incorporates part of the bay steamer Edina. The north west elevation is a portion of the cabin from the vesse l and is in good cond ition.
Edina Cottage is of historic value to the community of the Bellarine Peninsula.
Edina Cottage incorporates a portion of one of the most significant maritime vessels to ply its trade as a passengerandcargocarrier betweenGeelong,PortarlingtonandMelbourne. The Edina was an integral part of the Bellarine Peninsulas maritime history. Captain Forbes who had captained the ship for many years, salvaged part of it as a cabin at hisJndented Head home. After his death it was incorporated into this house at St Leonards.
It is of LOCAL cultural significance.

Patt of the bay steamer the Edina has been incorporated into this dwelling. The north west elevation is a portion of cabin from the vessel. The four windows are small and high and have fixed glass.
