Statement of Significance
Alterations and additions made after c.1915 are not significant.
Aesthetically, along with the Strzelecki Uniting Church it is one of two historic landmarks from different eras that 'bookend' the Avenue of Honour and mark the historic centre of the Strzelecki district. (Criterion E)
It has social significance for strong and enduring associations with the Strzelecki community through its continuous use as a public hall for over 110 years. (Criterion G)

STRZELECKI PUBLIC HALL - Physical Description 1
The Strzelecki Public Hall is a small gabled weatherboard hall set parallel to the road, with a lower gabled addition containing a supper room across its rear, forming a "T" in plan. The roofs of the two structures are not connected. There is a small gabled entry porch with side doors (apparently replacing an end door with a triangular head which is now closed). The original windows have now been replaced with aluminium frames and the Health Department vents at the ridge have been removed with recent re-roofing.
Internally it is lined, walls and ceiling, with original unfinished tongue and groove lining boards and the stage has a simple octagonal head proscenium. The light fittings are of early origin.
