Statement of Significance
Built in 1907-8, 4 Cameron Court is of state significance for its historical associations with its first owner, Jabez L Carnegie, three times Mayor of Kew, and its architectural importance. Architecturally its distinctive styling in the Edwardian Freestyle manner, drawing from "Queen Anne", Tudor , Far-Eastern and Romanesque sources, and significant interior elements, including polished timber joinery, gloss repouse metalwork, Far-Eastern detailing and finishes makes it an important example of the genre.
