Statement of Significance
An exceptionally picturesque Gothic bluestone house of the 1860s, deriving particular excellence from the woodwork of the verandah and balcony, the curved sweep of the gable and of some interest as the dwelling of the Deputy Surveyor-General, Clement Hodgkinson. It wasthe work of the prominent contractor Robert Huckson anda possible design of the architect, Joseph Reed.
