Statement of Significance
21 King William Street, Fitzroy, Individual Classification. Individual Statement of Significance: A two-storey rendered bluestone house similar to but not identical with numbers 9-13; built 1854-1863, owners/occupants included two jewellers, an ironmonger and a comedian.

Group Statement of Significance: A row of 8 two-storey bluestone houses with rendered facades, parapets with simple moldings and six-paned well proportioned windows, numbers 9 and 19 identical, 21 and 23 each similar; currently painted in five varying colours. All built from 1854-1860s for four different owners, who, with subsequent early owners and occupants, are representative of Fitzroy's background in business, politics and the theatre.
