Statement of Significance
Built in 1913 by George Lansell for his 3rd son, Leonard. The house boasts a ballroom and a mahogany staircase but also, intriguingly, once contained an entrance directly into the family's gold mines. The gold would be taken up into the cellar under the house and stored within its 60 centimetre thick stone walls.
