Statement of Significance
Victoria's oldest surviving Wesleyan church, begun in 1846, but modified beyond recongition by later work, including major additions in 1859, and to the interior by Butler & Ussher in 1893. The elaborate west end, consisting of a narthex with flanking, heavily buttressed polygonal chapels, was added in 1932, giving the building much of its unusual character.
