Statement of Significance
The history of this building is largely unknown. Borough records suggest it was constructed about 1890 for a Mr Freckleton, an Auctioneer. Architecturally, this structure is a distinctive Classical design and features include the smooth rusticated piers, cornice and decorative panel beneath the round-headed windows.
