Aesthetic value
The Norfolk Island Pines are a significant planting in the City of Warrnambool and are planted in many streets around the city. They were planted in 1903-04 as part of a beautification scheme paid for by revenue from agistment fees on the town common.
1986: The bitumen surface of the carpark is having a detrimental effect on the health of the trees and requires urgent attention.
