Statement of Significance
Historical value
This Dutch Elm was reputably planted by legendary cricketer, Dr W. G. Grace, in January 1874 during the tour of the English cricket team. Visiting English cricket teams often played matches at this ground.
The Eastern Oval was once ringed with Elms, this being the only one remaining. It is located at north end of Grandstand.
