Statement of Significance
Contribution to the landscape of historic garden.
Outstanding size
Outstanding example of species
An outstanding specimen tree in the grounds of Anzac Hostel, 'Kamesburgh', built in 1874. The tree has weeping branches, that arch down. It has a dull green colour during the summer, but in Autumn turns yellow. As the tree loses its leaves, the branches are exposed, giving it a nice appearance during the Winter.
