This tree is the only known example of the species in cultivation in Victoria. Specimens were collected from the Royal Botanic Gardens in 1916 and 1931 but no longer survivie. The tree exhibits many narrow linear leaves which are an attractive feature. The tree is multi-branched and has an upright habit. It forms part of a valuable collection of NewZealand plants in cultivation at Alton.
