Contribution to the historic garden
Outstanding size
A large specimen of Moreton Bay Fig in excellent condition. It is a dominant feature in the landscape and the tree has a dense canopy. Another specimen is growing opposite the Rathdowne and Queensberry Streets intersection. The area beneath the tree was asphalt and used for carparking. In 2011, the asphalt was removed and the root zone mulched as part of the Exhibiton Building Western Forecourt reconstruction.
