Statement of Significance
Demolished since 2004. The following statement of significance was prepared for the 2000 Heritage Study.
What is significant?
The former Independent Order of Rechabites Hall, constructed by Rumpf & Ferguson in 1907, at 15 Roughead Street, Leongatha.
Why is it Significant?
The former Independent Order of Rechabites Hall is of local historic significance to the town of Leongatha. It demonstrates the early importance of masonic and other organisations in the development of local communities and is the only extant Hall associated with the IOR in the Shire.

Single storey timber building of simple construction and form with a gable corrugated iron roof and a front door centrally located in the facade. The building is unpainted.
