GREAT EXTENDED HUSTLERS MINE - History
Great Extended Hustlers. This company, the greatest on the Hustler’s line, was formed in 1865, and at that time it included all claims on Hustler’s Hill, except Latham & Watsons. During 1870 this mine yielded 18,209 oz. of gold from 13,998 tons crushed and paid £63,700 in dividends before June of 1871. By 1880 this company had obtained 144,719 oz. of gold and paid £363,000 in dividends. Payable reefs were later found at 1860 feet (in 1887), and at 2,840 feet (in 1898) after sinking through hundreds of feet of unproductive country.GREAT EXTENDED HUSTLERS MINE - Interpretation of Site
