Land purchased in 1854 by James White from Robert Monteith for รบ736. Two-storey building built concurrently with the Metropolitan Hotel (263-267 William Street). Occupier James White, 1855-1859, Hay and Corn Store. James and Mrs Morris, dress shop, 1860-1869; Pawnbroker 1872-81; Bootmaker, 1904. Two-storey building shown 1880 panorama. 1905 - shop, P Browne.
