Statement of Significance
This place is included on the Victorian Heritage Inventory, for its potential to contain historical archaeological remains associated with the settlement and growth of early Melbourne. Under the terms of the Heritage Act 2017 there is protection for all historical archaeology sites and objects in the state.

WAVERLEY TERRACE - Heritage Inventory Description
1886 - terraces built on part of the site of former Presbyterian Manse. Site acquired by Sir Thomas Fitzgerald in 1887 who used the terraces as part of his private hospital.1905 - three-storey buildings, Royal Navy Office;one- and two-storey outbuildings at rear.
