Statement of Significance
The house at 31 Kings Avenue, corner of Burke Street, St Arnaud is historically and architecturally significant at a CONTRIBUTORY level. It is associated with residential developments in St Arnaud in the early 20th century and demonstrates some important design qualities. These qualities include the hipped and gable roof form, horizontal weatherboard wall cladding, the verandah as an extension to the main roof, galvanised corrugated iron roof cladding, and the timber framed windows. The siting of the building on the large site also contributes to the streetscape.
