Shop, 124 Main Street, STAWELL - Physical Description 1
The building at 124 Main Street, Stawell, contributes to the architectural and visual amenity of the predominantly Victorian and interwar streetscape.
The single storey, rendered brick, Victorian styled building is characterised by an altered early parapet with the remnant parapet base, side pier and projecting rectangular motifs supported by paired consoles. Under the parapet is a projecting moulded and dentillated stringcourse and a wide title panel that reads "G.R. & P.M. Boag".
An introduced cantilevering canopy projects at the front. Below is an introduced aluminium framed shopfront and ingo with introduced tile surrounds.
Beyond the front facade appears to be an early hipped roof form clad in galvanised corrugated iron, together with a rear and parapeted side face brick walls, early large face brick chimney, together with an introduction rear skillion form clad in cream brick.
