Ballarat East Railway Station Goods Shed - Physical Description 1
This shed like the much larger sheds at West Ballarat, were erected by Irving Glover and Co. whose contract was dated 4.4.1862 (the same as West Ballarat) for £17,202.0s.6d.
This double gabled bluestone shed had an attached verandah that served the adjacent East Ballarat Station, but both have since been demolished. It is detailed in a similar manner to both West Ballarat and the numerous other bluestone goods sheds on the line to Geelong.
Its importance derives from its design and workmanship as well as forming part of the Ballarat rail terminus which is of major historical and architectural importance.Ballarat East Railway Station Goods Shed - Integrity
