House - Physical Description 1
This single storey timber house is unusual in its high siting and bluestone footings. The asymmetrical treatment of the facade is also of interest. The left hand side bow window shape is reflected. in its finial topped roof ".outline arid the windows ..are separated ,by' plain. panels with slender attached colonnettes, Whereas the bow window on the right is separately roofed and attached to a plain gable end. It has windows of different proportion and detailing, suggesting that it may be a late addition. At the eaves line are carved brackets with pendant decorations. The entrance steps have elegant cast iron panels in the balustrade and lead to a verandah with cast iron posts, frieze, and a balustrade of a different pattern. The bluestone footings are reflected in the bluestone retaining wall and fence.
