STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A timber Edwardian house built in 1909. It is architecturally significant locally as characteristics of the Edwardian domestic style with interesting Art Nouveau influenced organic decorative details. It is historically significant in evoking the comfortable family life of Edwardian Newtown
INTACTNESS: Very good. The front verandah has been infilled and this should preferably be removed. The mock historicist metal palisades fence is not appropriate.
CONDITIONS AND THREATS: Good.

Residence - "Lumeah" - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
A triple-fronted timber hip-roofed Edwardian house. The right bay and left side rear bays are set forward as gables. The verandah extends around the angle, under the main roof at broken pitch. It has elaborate valence-decoration of palisades, rails and fretwork in Art Nouvueau sinuous plant-forms, with turned, square Doric posts. At the angle is am octagonal bay window. The front gable jettys on covex decorative brackets, the upper gable projects over a central hood s, supported on decorative ogee brackets. Mullions have capitals and incised mouldings. The soffit is mock shingles. Chimneys have terra-cotta pots and friezes.
