Horsham WWII Memorial Plaques - Veterans Description for Public
The Horsham WWII Memorial Plaques comprise of two small memorials dedicated to locals who served during the Second World War in Darwin. The first plaque is dedicated to the 19th Machine Gun Battalion (23rd Brigade) and their defence of 64 enemy air attacks on Darwin between 19th February 1942 -1944. The second plaque, erected 19th Februrary 2008, commemorates the 66th Anniversary of the first air attack on Australia and the Reigonal Personnel Units who defended Darwin.
