STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A characteristic Edwardian timber house with some unusual elements. It is architecturally significant locally as representative ofthat domestic style and historically in embodying comfortable middle class life in Newtown just before the Great War.

Residence - Physical Description 1
A triplefronted, hip-roofed Edwardian timber house with some unusual elements, built in 1909. The verandah is under the main roof returning at left. At the angle is a partial octagonal gazebo. The verandah is supported by unusual fine and elegant Tuscan columns. Windows are segmental head triple casements with highlights. Upper gables are roughcast pattern pressed metal cladding with Medievalising double ogee timber jettying. Gable windows have hipped ripple-iron hoods, supported from large convex brackets with palisade.
