Residence - Physical Description 1
A single storey timber building, clad in weatherboards and shingles and the gabled roof is clad in corrugated iron. The main gable traverses the site but it is the prominent gable which projects perpendicular to this which is the dominant feature of the front elevation. It is positioned off-centre and a side porch is formed below it. The entrance is centred between the apex of this gable and the centre of the bay window. Decorative features include the wooden shingles, leadlight windows and the paired columns onthe unpainted brick piers. It is remarkably similar to the State Savings Bank 'T13' design. Houses bult by the State Savings under the porvision of the Housing and Reclamation Act were relatively popular between 1923 and 1928.
