12 Hope Street is one of two buildings in this vicinity which date from circa 1853. It has a fair degree of integrity. It is of local significance.

Residence - Physical Description 1
12 Hope Street is a single storey building clad in weatherboards and the hipped roof is clad in corrugated iron. Alterations include the verandah and the windows and the addition of cast iron lace, a decorative element more common on 1870's buildings.
