DESCRIPTION
34 Spring Street is a large two storey brick building with a hipped roof covered with corrugated iron. The brickwork has been stuccoed. The front elevation is on the southern boundary of the site. The two upstairs windows have decorative window fenestration, which is very similar to Clonard at 225 Church Street. It is a combination of the Doric order with a keystone in the window head and they appear to have been placed independantely of the downstairs openings. (Clonard was designed by the Architect JL Shaw) On the ground floor a door is placed to the western end of the facade and a large shop front is adjacent to it. There is another single window towards the eastern end of the facade. The present building looks very similar to the c1914 photograph. Alterations include new window frames, changed paint colours and removal of the verandah.
