Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The two storey house is built of brick and the hipped and gabled roof is clad in corrugated iron. The form of the building resembles a Victorian terrace house, however some of the details are more characteristic of the Edwardian period. These include the chimney, the pressed metal tympanum of the gable and the decorative timber fretwork of the verandah. It is interesting to note the very early useof fine geometric fretwork and columns. Similar fretwork can be seen on 40 Albert Street, circa 1912.
